16238 onyx dial 6 9 diamonds is it possible?

I need experts help please i found a 16238 with onyx 69 diamond dial the serial is L329xxx. The watch has president bracelet and seller says dial and bracelet all authentic do you guys knows if this watch came with this dial originally or its 116238 dial? I added all pics of the watch please help :) price he asking is 17k usd (Not in USA in Asia) what you think on this deal and condition of the watch? Is all parts authentic and fit for this reference?

Idk about the 16238 Datejust, but the 6/9 diamond onyx dial was offered on the last of the 18238 Day-Dates - Certainly in 1999, maybe a bit earlier?

This dial ran from 1990 right through to 116228 model, nice watch

Yep, as mentioned, this dial variation did indeed exist, and is correct for the reference. Looks good to me.

Serial L is from 1989? So how its possible it has this dial? Someone told me 1990 no swiss made.... Are the hands are correct too? Also Datejust also arrived originally with day date bracelet?

A few things:

‘N’ clasp code on bracelet aligns with ‘L’ serial case. Those matchup. The dial very well could be a service dial which would explain the ‘Swiss Made’.

Does service dial reduce the value of the watch ? will it be hard to resell if i decide to sell?

You are overthinking this. People switch dials on Datejust and Day Dates all the time. There were a plethora of dials offered for each over the years. It doesn't really matter for a Datejust in my opinion. Just enjoy the watch.
