DC Pen Show
I went to the DC Pen Show this weekend. Over 200 dealers and other exhibiters. Lots of cool pens! I visited with Mort from Atlanta, who is a great guy. I bought a couple of pens from him, including my first Namiki -- a beautiful Cormorant. It's the nicest pen I've bought so far. I see more Namiki in my future. I also like Montegrappa, and I bought a nice silver one recently.

Suhail from TURF is a big pen collector. Some pics of your new acquisitions would be nice.
JJ  |
Peter, I would love to see pictures of your pens. I love them also, but with the cost of watches, affording another addiction is out of the question right now. Still, I like to look.....

Here are the two new pens, Namiki Cormorant and Taccia...

Peter - I would say your taste is certainly improving. LOL on the Microsoft pen! :chuckle:
I've got hundreds of pens I've been given over the years from suppliers, etc. All stuffed in a box somewhere. I have one decent pen - MB one that is no longer made. I think it might be a 149, but not sure of the model. I also have a .7mm mechanical pencil to go with it. Bought both at Costco years ago.....LOL! I like both of your new pens a lot. The Namiki is pure art - I love the detail. The Taccia is also very nice - like the geometric pattern. What is the material on that one? If you don't mind me asking, what are those two worth? Are discounts normal with pens? Just trying to get a feel for it. I may tell the wife that I have good news, that I can collect pens cheaper than I can collect watches - but I doubt she would go for it. :bluetongu |
Cool pics Peter, I really like the Montegrappa, that is very cool looking!

Thanks, Peter, very artful and beautiful collection....even more artistic hand in the first pic. :chuckle:

The fourth one is only in the line-up as a joke. http://www.rolexforums.com/images/icons/icon12.gif I was going around the house fetching all my pens, and I saw that one lying on a table. |

Hey, cool - I've finally come across a Montegrappa I actually like! The ones I've seen up to this point have been made of some translucent mineral, and that look never grabbed me.
Here's a shot of my (very humble) collection: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...n/IMG_4964.jpg |
I like that blue one, second from right....but then I love all things blue!! :chuckle: :chuckle:
