I'm really loving that one in your avatar though. What is that? A 6542 with a brown/black Bakelite bezel? Or, is that a heavily patina'd red? Gorgeous piece!

it's my oldest - a 1958 ref 6542 with an un cracked bakelite bezel. Hands replaced during a 1975 service (I look for them often - made of some metal called 'unobtanium'? :banghead:
