Incoming AB0110 Chronomat 44!

I finally decided to move forward with this and found a blue dial example which is currently in transit, scheduled to arrive in two days!

Now I'm planning on having one of the black dialed A13340's brushed (bracelet and case). This was the original plan but Breitling said they can do this for me!

Thank you, Brian! I'll be sure to do that as it has been a while since I've tried one. Excuse the terrible blurry shot from several years ago at the AD:

I believe the only difference between these two are the chapter ring and sub dial colour.

I had a hard time sleeping last night, as you could imagine. Thankfully it won't be in transit long. I'm not excited about sizing it, but maybe the A13340 was decent preparation for this.

Thanks, Alex! This model represents the end of an era in some ways. I tried on the new Super Chronomat 44 and although I liked it a bit, the model I got represents the era that really got me into Breitling:

For me it's a must to have the wings logo on the dial, so not sure if I would ever end up with one of those shown directly above. It also wore rather large, coming from someone who wears a Planet Ocean Chronograph with no issues.

Congrats to you, sir! I picked up the 41mm version of this watch with the blue dial and black subdials a few months ago, it's amazing. In my opinion, one of the best ever that Breitling has ever come up with, as far as design aesthetics are concerned. Not just among chronomats, but ALL their collections

wcgreiner 20 March 2025 09:11 AM

That’s awesome—blue dial incoming and a custom touch on the way!

Can’t wait to see how the brushed finish turns out. Enjoy the wait!

Thanks, Omar! Although that Super Chronomat B01 hasn't sold me yet so to speak, I can see why this product line, which taps into the brands heritage, is doing so well. The results speak for themselves (Morgan Stanley - February, 2024):

So I can totally see why you and many others feel this way. That new dial is absolutely beautiful in person, stunning actually. With my desire for the "Instruments for Professionals" era I'll have to see if the other logo on the dial grows on me.

Thanks, Chris! When I called Breitling last week they told me this was recently done for an Air Force pilot here, who wanted the brushed finish. Also, the newer version of the SuperOcean which was basically the same watch with a different crown, dial, and rubber bezel insert has a brushed finish so they may do it like that one(another blurry shot from years ago):

Congratulations on incoming.i too have a Navitimer B01
Incoming so I know how you are feeling atm

So it arrived today and I'm absolutely blown away by this watch! Pictures do it no justice, WOW! It came with everything from the original purchase, including the tag, and I forgot how many things Breitling watches of this era came with, it's a bit insane. Extremely happy with this purchase and at a loss for words as I now see the blue dial was definitely the right choice for me.

Thank you! I'm so glad I got this watch, the blue dials don't seem to come up for sale that often. I knew without a doubt I had to get this one and have zero regrets.

Same! The other dial variations are nice as well, but for me it had to have this contrast with the subdials. Brown is sort of hard to come by also (which I didn't like), but the black dial appears to be the most common without a doubt.

Thanks! The dial is truly stunning. I find it far easier to see from a distance in comparison to the A13340, especially the subdials.

juve 12 April 2025 05:50 AM

Congratulations.

Here are some images of the brown dial version from Mark Worthington Jewelers (the piece is now sold):

A few more from watchfinder.co.uk:

A few good shots of the black dial from Google for comparison:

The more I browse for fun, the happier I am with my choice nhowever, all variants are lovely and if I didn't already have three A13340's I might consider another one of these. The issue is buying sight unseen as dials like brown seem rare and I'm not sure of a place I could go view one first.

Where are you sourcing them from (if you don't mind sharing)?

From many different places, all of which are bricks and mortar business around the world that list items for sale on multiple platforms such as eBay, and Chrono24.

Buy the seller they say, and with the right knowledge and due diligence with the aforementioned considered, there are quite a few decent options to get these. Best of luck to you on the inevitable search!
