Yea, kinda lost that high ground awhile back with street slang for what anyone is calling Rolex these days. Now days “Rollie” doesn’t sound so stupid. :chuckle:

I guess I am gonna strap on my Rollie, slip into my kicks, and roll my whip on double deuces.:dude:

A quite simple fact the name is Rolex which is clearly stated on the dial. And the name Rolex was used as it was short easy to say, and remembered in any languaes. The only Roley or Rollie I know is a old film type camera.

Owned a Rollie many years ago. Great camera. Only flaw was couldn’t put it on a bracket due to the way the film door was configured as an L.
