Which Omega line needs a major refresh?
Is it me or are there a number a bit long in the tooth.?
Been a while for the PO. A little thinner would be nice. Is it finally time for a tapered 300m bracelet? A proper sport GMT 300 heritage or 300m? New Globemaster? I would love this with an elegant GMT. The AT and Speedy have had plenty of attention thrown there way lately, so they are more than likely fine. Thoughts and comments welcome. |
Throughout the mid-20th century this was what an Omega watch looked like. I feel like this category is an untapped reserve in Omega's offerings.

The 300 line-up needs an update as well as the Planet Ocean. Bracelets and dial options. Omega might start with thinning the offerings. Too many models and options. Focus on what you do the best and leave all the rest.

Omega is like the elephant foot. They screw what they touch.

The PO refresh could be a game winner for Omega but somehow they choose not to do anything about it
There is nothing they can do about the 300M divers, what they did lately was ok Definitely a good GMT will help ....being 300M or PO refresh Bring back the old models reiteration as they were updating the movement only |
The Planet Ocean is a gem in the rough and still has a lot of potential. I already really like the Planet Ocean. Omega could make it a bit more refined and understated by reducing the case height and making the dial more subdued. The bezel should have the mechanics, or rather that high-quality click, of a Submariner. That would be cool.

The things I’d do for a thin Aqua Terra Day Date in 36-39mm…

Nothing in their current line looks this good. I don't like that the minute hand has an arrowhead and the hour hand does not. The symmetry of the old ones is missed. Additionally, there are also some Omega models where the hour hand has the arrowhead, and the minute hand does not. Why? The lack of design language consistency really hurts Omega's aspirational legacy. |
Additionally, Omega really needs to develop more iconic/classic bracelets.
Their only memorable one is the flat-link that comes on the Speedmaster 321. The style is so popular another company (Forstner) exists only to provide these. Why not directly from Omega? The standard bracelets on the Speedmaster and Seamaster Diver are forgettable and not at all distinctive like Rolex's Jubilee, Oyster or President. Better bracelets will make Omega's seem less dated. |

A stand-alone, pure GMT (not also a diver) would do extremely well.
|
I would love some variety in the Dark Side of the Moon line in smaller variations (I know it's a speedmaster but still!).
|
I would like to see a 34 or 36mm version of the 300M for the ladies or smaller wrists.
