Anyone collect journals?
I like em! I have about 40 in my collection, with the Roterfaden being my favorite. I also enjoy the more modular Traveler journals and Molesline (I know, I know, but I have loved them for too many years to discard them for their many faults. Kinda like some people I know).
I must make an honorable mention of any of the Tomoe River Paper journals; however, the drying time with 99% of the inks I use makes things difficult, at least for my patience levels. William Hannah has some gorgeous leather journal systems that I enjoy very much. https://williamhannah.com/ Also, my favorite leather covers are the Kip Leather from Japan. Superb in every way, and they patina so nicely over time. Gfeller leather makes some incredible covers! I can't recommend them enough. https://gfeller.us/notebook-covers/ |
So, what have been your favorites so far?
I have tried the Moleskine, but experienced the same issues of bleeding that us fountain pen users complain of. So far, Leuchtrumm has the best paper and I have not dared to venture far from this. For reference, I use a Montblanc 146 and Dupont Orpheo both throwing a wet, consistent line. |
