Is this an originl ROLEX Day Date President Buckley dial?
4 Attachment(s)
I recently purchased this Buckley dial to install in my 1972 Rolex Day-Date President 1803. It was purchased from a reputable seller.
My local Rolex jeweller noticed that it does not have the “T Swiss T” micro print underneath the VI and suggested additional research. He said best to confirm if this is an aftermarket dial .. or a true Rolex made dial, before I go the effort of installing it on my watch. I’ve done extensive Google searches and cannot find a single image on the internet of a Buckley Day-Date President dial without the “T Swiss T” micro print. Are there experts who are knowledgable in this area here on this forum who can comment as to whether in fact this dial is an authentic Rolex made Buckley dial … or it is an aftermarket non-Rolex made dial? I very much appreciate everybody’s comments in this matter. |
I’m no dial expert but that looks nasty:thumbsdow

Tim's right, and it won't take an expert.
Here is a genuine one. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...cf327c338c.png You'll be able to see several "red flags". Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Looks like a poor attempt at an aftermarket replacement, and I’m no expert, but would bet money that it’s mot OEM. Hard pass!

Not sure if serious but it looks like the text was done with a toothpick and modelling enamel. One a side note it's weird how Guperlative becomes Superlative.

It’s like they didn’t even try to make it right [emoji1787]

Send it back to the seller. He got over on you. It is not a genuine Rolex dial.

Thank you so much everybody for giving the clear answers that my “Buckley” dial is not authentic ROLEX production. Yes, I will return it. I really appreciate everyone’s time on this.

I'm surprised any "reputable seller" would try and pass that off as genuine.

ALL BEEN SAID....very awful dial. Care to name 'reputable seller', they should be cognisant of such dross, as such.
