Incoming? Kind of? Little modification

Greetings TRF,

I’ve had this watch for a little while now and I’ve been loving it thus far. The dial has not aged as others I have seen around, it has a colder, somewhat silver tone to it.

However, I have come across a few models that have sold in the past with a coral dial and white gold numerals and hands and although it’s not original as far as I know, I managed to source the necessary parts and figured I would gamble on the odds of it working out.

Let me know what you think. Speaking for myself, I really rather appreciate the three tone look of it.

If I grow tired of it, I can simply put it back the way it was and reassemble the Essex off of which the dial and hands came. The main downside is that said dial is curved, therefore you do notice gaps at twelve and six but it’s not a big bother to me.

Looking good, Carl. I like how the change warms up the watch even more.

Thank you, my friends!

I agree, a much warmer look and it fulfills my desire to own a salmon/coral dial.

Classic design, nice! I also like the colour of the dial now and how it compliments the gold.

Thank you, Rommel.

Essex models come up now and then but I took my time to find one in a condition I liked.
