To each his own. It is a complicated platinum Patek. It is derived from the basic design of the Calatrava. I happen to think it’s one of the most beautiful with it’s beautifully balanced dial. This is the design of the original annual calendar… For anybody. It was originally introduced in the 5035 annual calendar, which was a complication Patek that was designed to be much more obtainable financially than their grand complications.

PP has a tendency to discontinue watches seemingly randomly. It doesn’t mean anything. Unlike Rolex, they frequently don’t milk design for decades.

PP can certainly make ugly watches. Do any of you remember the Neptune? Or the sculpture? Many of us who have been collecting for years think the Nautilis is ugly. It was originally designed per Genta himself as a woman’s watch. For literally decades you could purchase one below retail. And the aquanaut was considered an abomination by Patek purists.
