First, Congratulations on your new toy!! You have every right to be paranoid. All of the new watches in US (from an AD) should come with inner & outer boxes, 2 hang tags (red & green), bezel protector, 2-3 booklets in a passport folder and either a green plastic warranty card or if its old stock, a paper certificate documenting the model #, serial #, dealer's name (on the older certificate the style code describes the model, bezel, dial and bracelet in a 14 digit #).
You need this card or certificate. It is "provenance" to your piece being original and legit.
As far as scratches are concerned -- Unacceptable!!
