As others have said, Panerai really needs to put out a 44mm Submersible (with the 1950s case). The 42mm Submersibles are certainly nice and appealing some someone with a smaller wrist, but I think the "industrial" look of the Submersible really shines in an oversized case at 44mm+. I am also a sucker for a traditional look and aside from one model (PAM243?) the Luminor 1950 Submersibles are typically 47mm.
It seems to be that Panerai wants to deliberately limit particular cases to particular sizes with the bulk of the traditional Luminor cases being 44mm and thus eliminating that as an option for the Submersible. That said, it leaves a drastic size difference between models when searching for a true diver.
