One of the most underrated and best Grand Seikos available. This simple handwound execution of Grand Seiko’s tried-and-true 9S movement may be the purest evocation of traditional watchmaking currently offered by Grand Seiko. Its finely finished movement, 37.3mm case, and incredibly attractive price point easily make it one of the best values in modern horology. Until recently, this watch has been available only in Japan. I find a lot of Grand Seiko watches a bit too big, but this one at 37.3mm is just right.
