I bought the same exact watch. I have similar situation under the clasp. Worse, I kept thoughtlessly trying to open the clasp from the indentation and I actually left some scuff with my finger nail.
My feeling is this is a scratch magnet! Live and let be! I am, however, looking at aftermarket rub straps so I'm not always scratching the bracelet. Also frequently wearing rubber bracelets pinches a nerve in my wrist that gives me awful carpel tunnel.
