Hi All,
I’m selling a 1950s Blancpain Aqualung ref 2462, here are the details:
Dial: Excellent condition glossy black dial with luminous hour markers and hands. The dial has aged beautifully and shows evidence of radium burn that has left it with a subtle brown hue when viewed in bright sunlight. The hour markers, hands and bezel insert all glow when exposed to UV light and drop off quickly. The watch tops out a geiger counter which is correct and indicative of the radium lume used during this era.
Case: Excellent condition 41mm stainless case serial number 29XX that shows light wear. The bakelite bezel insert is also in excellent condition and is fully intact with some cracking.
Movement: A. Schild automatic calibre 1461 N is in good operating condition, service history is unknown.
Other: The watch comes mounted on a period-correct black tropic strap.
The Deal: My price is $26,950 with overnight shipping from Fedex and third-party insurance from IFS Inforsure. Reasonable offers and trades are always welcome. I will accept payment via wire transfer or PayPal +3% with buyer references. You get a 3 day inspection period and may return the watch for any reason. You'll receive a full refund minus all shipping, insurance, packaging and other costs associated with the purchase and return of the watch.
