Being the price of a brand new 124060 £6,450.00 why should someone pay £8,000.00 for an old second hand 14060M?
The answer is because someone prefers the original 5 digit Submariner; if so a watch that has been polished with bezel and crystal replaced is no longer a coeval watch, hence to me it doesn't worth the price.
Having said that, my personal opinion about the 5 digit no date Submariner is that the first version 14060 with Tritium Swiss-T<25 / 2 line dial (1988 - 1999) is the most representative and the preferred one; indeed to the contrary of the 16610, the last updated version 14060M (2000 - 2012) did not benefit of the SEL bracelet nor of the updated no-holes lugs.
