Hard to predict the future value of the watch, or any for that matter. I know the feeling as you contemplate making the purchase; a 5270P is not inexpensive. Investment prediction: down in the short run and maybe up in the long run but who cares.

I have one, amongst other Patek's, including other complications. Nothing else like the 5270P. People lust after the 5711, but I think largely because it's unobtainable. I have that watch as well. No comparison.

Buy would you like, that's what collecting is about. Forum members provide us an international group of friends to seek advice, but in the end it's you and the watch.
