The ballpoint is very convenient to use on-the-go, you just twist a little and the tip comes out, like on a Cross pen. The rollerball, which writes incredibly smoothly and effortlessly, and makes my handwriting look better for some reason, is less convenient, but it is more elegent to use since you can remove the cap with a flourish before you write like it's a fountain pen. That might be good to use on your clients when they are signing an offer or an acceptance.

On the roller ball, NEVER put the cap on the end of th pen. It was not designed to go there & you can split the resin very easily
