While maybe it's true that the practice is not the best for the pen, I can vouch for jamming the hell out of the cap onto the end for years with zero issues.

My only MB is the carbon fiber model shown in early pictures, so maybe that's a lot tougher as it's a CF cap vs. resin & obviously the rest of the pen is stainless steel...so no worries w/ the metals strength...but again, no issues from me & I use the pen multiple times every day.

Personally, I don't like the feel of the pen without the cap on the back...seems too short & light IMO (I get flashbacks to writing w/ one of those mini space pens as a kid).
