Truthfully, I don’t know. As someone with a 6” wrist, I occasionally think it’s just that tiny bit too large. That said, I come from the distant era of the 90s where I long thought 35mm-36mm was the largest I could handle. It wears smaller than a sports Rolex 40mm, and smaller too than any of the big hitter sports watches except the 5711 and 5167.

I get attached to my watches, and I absolutely adore the dial of my Secret Alloy TA, so I’m not about to chop it in. If I was doing it again though, and if the 38.5 was available, I’d probably arrange with Czapek to try that one on first, and only if I felt it was too small, change to the 40.5.

There are a lot of photos here and in my review thread, so you can make up your own mind on a similar size wrist.
