I now have a deploymant buckle on my 233 and it is okay. Frankly, more of a pain to put on than the tang alternative.
The Panerai deploymant has a double hinge (differing from the Rolex single hinge on my DD) which I find is less easy to use.
If I were to do it again, I would probably just stick with the tang buckle set up. But isn't the benefit of Panerai to have multiple strap options?
FYI, regarding my earlier question, my deployant buckle required a smaller screwdriver to handle the small screw than the one that came with the watch. I think the buckle is legit.
