I think that’s one of the big benefits. I met a guy not long ago in a line for something, and noticed his silver dial DJ. I said, “nice watch” as I showed him my much newer (2023) model of the same configuration. We swapped “why we got them” stories. His was from the 1990s, and the patina on the dial was to die for. The watch had a dash or two extra of class as a result of how the dial was worn. I look forward to my watch having that much character!
