FWIW : I am a biggish guy with a, charitably, mid-sized wrist ( 6.8 +/- ) that is very flat. Some big watches are great on me, some smaller watches are a problem. Nevertheless, I routinely wear my 44mm PAM 915 - the Bettarini case does really well on my wrist.

I've been thinking about adding to my Panerai collection and I'm going to look at the the 40mm white Luminor and the new 8-giorni Radiomirs at 45mm.

To my mind, both would give me some size variety. The 40mm is obvious - it is still a 48-ishmm lug to lug ( or some such ) - and the bigger watch has a shorter lug to lug at 47-ish.

Maybe those might give you some options, too?
