Regardless of what your friends/peers wear, a sub is a great “first” Rolex to build off of. Rugged, great wrist presence, and tons of versatility. Perfect for a college student, IMO.
Not sure what the “Day Date is an old man’s watch” comments are all about? I’m far from an “old man” and rock mine in regular rotation. When the time is right, I highly recommend one for anyone who wants one - incredible watches.
