That's so sad. We lost one a few months ago after 15 years. I guess we've lost about 5 now in the last 35 years. It's heartbreaking.

We always have 2 dogs, and when we lost the last one our other one who always went on walks with him together, stopped wanting to go on walks. She just lost interest in that. We have a new puppy and she hasn't warmed up to her yet either.

Dogs feel the loss as much as we do.
