I have the PAM250. I bought it off eBay for about 5k back in the early 2000s. It came with box and paperwork. I love the watch. It looks great, I love chronographs (even though I don't ever use the functions, that's why I've moved on to GMTs (better suits my needs)). It's the only Panerai I own but I'm looking forward to adding a GMT from Panerai soon.

The PAM250 has been discontinued. Panerai has been using in house movements for a while now. I believe they have an in house chronograph available if ETA movements aren't your thing and in house movements are important.

It's a bit on the larger side for my wrist (at 44mm), but I don't mind the size and heft. I love that you can easily change the straps. I love all the different choices in straps. The crown guard is a huge plus cuz I find some of my Rolex's crowns dig into the back of my hand. The crown guard on the Luminor models prevents this.

I'm looking at the Luminor BiTempo Power Reserve PAM01361, Luminor Dieci Giorni GMT PAM01482, or the Submersible GMT Navy SEALs PAM01323 next.
