Based on what I’ve seen, those so-called “permanent links” can be tricky. They usually require special tools and expertise. Some independent watchmakers with a strong background in Rolex adjustments have successfully handled similar issues, but if you’re not 100% sure about the jeweler’s experience, it might be safer to have an AD handle it. Either way, ensure the person you choose has a solid track record with Rolex repairs to avoid any mishaps.
