I guess one never knows for sure but I’m pretty confident he’s being very honest with me, especially cause he knows that it’s not that I will take it badly if he got one in and gave it to someone that’s been waiting longer than me. I may be spoiled, but I’m not entitled. :)

Somewhat similar with my AD (minus the true friendship part, we’re more like like-minded watch enthusiasts and have a business relationship built on mutual trust and respect) and I have no reason to believe they’re lying to me. According to them, they see way more steel Daytonas than Pepsis. They think there is definitely a production issue with the bezel (specifically the red ceramic).
I know this is not any groundbreaking news but rather another data point supporting the scarcity argument.
