I called the Rolex AD and spoke with a watchmaker (the actual watchmaker who serviced my watch was off today). He confirmed that there’s no way they would have opened the case back and adjusted the hairspring—it would’ve required them to keep the watch for several days. He’s confident the issue was due to magnetization. The watchmaker who worked on it will be in tomorrow, and if that’s not the case, he’ll call me and explain what actually happened.
