Agreed. Why too much for that watch. You can find GMT's for sale on this site all day long. Even if you don't find a "coke" style, buy a Pepsi or black and just buy a new insert for it. My local jeweler sells me new inserts for my GMT II for $60 a piece. Needless to say, I have every bezel style for my watch. The nice thing is with the GMT is its versatility; you can swap new inserts with ease. Every time you insert new color, it changes the entire watch. Almost like getting a new one everytime!

You may get lucky when you go back for your deposit as the jeweler make work with you. I would be more likely to pay in the low $4,000's if the jeweler offered a warranty. I paid in the low $4,000s for my GMT, but it came with a 4 year warranty and lifetime cleaning and polishing. A little high for the watch, but Colorado Springs is not known for their Rolex AD's. Only one store in town, so no competition. Although you pay in the high $3,000s for a GMT on this site, I had a little more piece of mind buying from a jeweler with a warranty. Nothing against anyone's watches for sale on this site because there are some great sellers with great watches. Good luck!
