Hey guys, I have been on this forum the past few months and have been reading many of the useful information that's on here to complete my first Rolex purchase.
I decided on a Rose Gold and SS Datejust Turn-o-graph! (D Serial 2006-2007)
I am so proud to own this beatiful watch and I cannot stop looking at it! It is just absolutely like no other watch I have ever owned or seen.
There Really is something about a Rolex that just sets them apart from other watches upon first glance. The band and case are just so gorgeous along with the dial (which looks matte or gloss black in the pictures but it is actually like a slate black!

LOVE IT.)
Being a first Rolex owner I do have a few short questions that I would greatly appreciate if anyone can chime in here
1.) How often do you polish your watch with something like a cape cod polishing cloth? I heard these work really well and I was wondering if polishing the watch too often with one could cause damage? Of course there are already some micro-hairline scratches starting to appear.
2.) Since this is an 06-07 model, how soon should I get it serviced? I'm pretty sure it's keeping perfect time but I have not had it long enough to see what its + or - is. Also, how much does regular service cost at the RSC (regular maintenance, polishing - which I heard they make it like new, and also adjustments)
3. The clasp release seems to just be 'hanging' against the rest of the band, I mean it is secured, but if I push on it it seems to bump into the bracelet. Is this normal or is my clasp broke? (I don't remember how it was at my AD with the other turn-o-graphs I tried. Furthermore to explain this, if I have the watch unbuckled and off, it seems as though the clasp release does not have any resistance on it; meaning I can sway it back and forth. Any input would be greatly appreciated! Also, not sure if anyone can tell in the last pic there seems to be some stuff on the clasp, any idea how to get it off? It didn't come off with soap and water
Oh, btw, does your crown with the rolex insignia when FULLY screwed in like up straight? Or am I just to picky lol
Well I promised pics, so here ya go! I'll take better ones with a non-iphone camera later!
