I even spoke to a trusted old school watch maker/collector (sociopathic 58yr old watch guy that thinks in watch terms) about PAM's and he's certain that within 10 years they'll be flipped or fogotten like Cartier Roadsters, Concord C1's, Alain Silbersteins, U-BOAT's, Chanel's, Heuer heritage models and even newer Blancpains. Most collectors and BASEL groupies I also speak to think if it isn't a Rolex, JLC, Patek, Omega, AP, A.L.&Sohne or even IWC it must be a fad watch. I'm kinda in agreement with them. If anyone knows someone who's had a PAM for more than 5 years (worn it consistently), please comment. I'd like to be 'sold' on one but I haven't been able to be thus far. Or even if there's a good starter PAM model as a tester someone could recommend for a PAM newbie. I'm intrigued... just not sold on them. Help?

I might have you wrong but I didn't buy my Pam because of the history or will it be still around in 10 years time,I bought it because I love the look,it was as simple as that,I was all out looking for a Rolex but came across Panerai,I knew no history on them at the time so it was all on looks, for me the history etc adds to the watch but doesn't make it,I'm not sure how we can turn you on to Pams if you are basing that choice on other factors first rather than starting with look.
