As mentioned, both 289/233 use the 2002 movement; the 1st in-house movement. My 233 is an 8-day, but it gets 10 days before requiring a full wind. The small hand is the gmt, which can be hidden behind the hour hand when not in use, which imo is a pretty neat feature. Based on the photo, the gmt is reflecting 12:00 midnight, because the dot is black.
