to answer OP question:

any sandwich dial panerai has excellent lume. the painted/sausage dial is also excellent too! QC of the applied lume material may apply here. i have had 3 different 112s at one time, and one of them is brighter than the others, i know, it's strange, but it really happened.

the faux patina dial with ecru lume generally has worse lume brightness or retention. but again, same with QC above, also found out one is brighter than the other when i had my hand on a couple of the 390.

don't worry though.. even the less bright ones are no slouch at all. the initial glow are the same amazing torch-like quality, it's the afterglow which is different.

good luck with the hunt.

sidestory: i'm a bit of lume freak lately, i was curious just for fun, googled which watch has best lume, seiko monster comes out a lot as results.

so i did my research on the various fora and found out they say even though the monster's lume is amazing, the frankenmonster is even better. so i recently picked up a seiko frankenmonster just for fun..

well? it's true. the lume is just crazy. it totally blew me away. and this is coming from a ex-panerai collector. for all of you who love lume on your watch, do check out the seiko frankenmonster, you won't be dissapointed for the attractive pricetag it carries. quality-wise it's what you get for what you pay, don't expect the same level finishing or detail as panerai(or other on-par swiss brands). but the franken lume makes it a totally fun watch to have!!

disclaimer: i am not affiliated in any way to seiko company, i'm just sharing my recent excitement from having fun with watch collecting hobby. i hope i did not break any forum rules. thanks.
