This is one of those "everyones right" situations.
If you like 44,45 or 47mm then go and buy it and be happy in your choice.
I am an absolute novice when it comes to Panerai, but in my three "trying on" trips I quickly came to the conclusion that the larger sizes were too big for me.
Thats why I'm concentrating on 42mm (PAM 98) or 40mm (PAM 48,244 or 241)..........just a personal preference.
The good thing is that very few people get forced to go out and buy a high end watch......so buy what makes you happy.
Rolex and Panerai both rock by the way
