Do you wear a full face helmet?
I find that my DOT 1/2 helmet wants to lift right off my head at high speed but my full face doesn't. I keep my full face helmet locked onto my backrest and I use it at night for bug safety, foul weather and low temperature winter riding. The 1/2 helmet is for fair, warm weather only.
