That's good information. I find that there seems to be alot of men out there who can't pull off a 47mm watch. On some the 47 looks ridiculous. Perhaps Panerai is simply giving folks the opportunity to enjoy the Panerai look who might otherwise be inclined to take a pass. So a trend, no, but perhaps broadening their market. Can't rule out catering to women either.
I tried on the Egiziano at the Boca boutique last week. I could never wear it. The damn thing weighed a ton! Really, really heavy and impractical.
