As a child growing up in the 50's/60's the overwhelming majority of watches where white dail with three hands on leather. The big deal in watches with the common man where "flex bracelets", lol.
We've come a long way, I for one do not care what's popular and even enjoy the fact that for non WIS types leather is not that popular.
