I think it's a step in the right direction. A lot of people love the crown guard but don't like the size of the watch. They don't want to get a Radiomir as their first piece because of the crown guard love.

So this one finally meets the demand of new buyers that probably want something a bit more dressy, can fit under the cuff, and has the crown guard.

Panerai has to adapt and bring some new things to market to get that new audience because enthusiasts can not support the brand financially forever.
