Simply...The Wine Thread

Gave this Red Blend a try tonight. A little jammy for me and the boysenberry flavors are not my favorite. Prefer black cherry, berry, and currant flavors but this may be to your liking.

2012 Indian Wells Red Blend
Columbia Valley

Tasting Notes The wine reflects the rich, round powerful style of Washington fruit, highlighting six varietals. It is a true example of the art of blending. It offers jammy boysenberry flavors from the Syrah with a luscious concentration from the Merlot.

Food Pairings Stuffed peppers, bleu cheese, duck, beef, veal, lamb, dark chocolate

Wine Analysis Blend: 43% Syrah, 43% Merlot, 6% Grenache, 4% Malbec, 2% Cabernet Franc, 2% Mourvedre Alcohol: 14.5%

Price Point: $16 - $20
