There are some cases where I think it looks okay, not great. The 5712 is one of those that can pass because it's positioned discreetly. I think unless you're looking for it, it can go unnoticed with the busy dial. As a side note I love this dial, both 5712 and the "r"
If you've got something like the 5711, I'm not a fan bc it's already stunning as is with that CLEAN dial and I think it clutters a dial that's like a work of art with all of the diff shades
