????? Don't know what this means, excuse me for being thick.
Tried with a couple of my graybeard watch repair folks, both said no can do. Leaves one other guy left who is not open until Wednesday. May have to unscrew the case tomorrow and snap a few pics.
I really had a good feeling dealing with the guy, he was even communicating after the purchase. No iffy stories, he clearly stated HE was the one who bought it, where and when he bought it from, and why he was selling it (Working stiff trying to raise cash for MBA tuition). Listing said it was guaranteed to be authentic so PayPal protection should apply. He even put it in the post the same day-Saturday-because he was having to go out of town for his job on Monday and didn't want to delay. Decent e-bay history consistent with an occasional personal seller and buyer. I can usually smell a rat on Craigslist: gift from ex-girlfriend, willed to me by my Dad/Uncle/Mentor, estate sale find, found in a box in the attic, etc., but didn't have any of that here. It's either legit or he's a criminal mastermind who thought of everything.
Having read and heard so many times, 'box and papers, box and papers, box and papers', I figured that with all that AND original receipt and invoice, I was golden.
Besides the movement picture, I'll test how well it winds compared to a legit 6497 movement, how solid the guard lever is at 45 degrees, and how long the lume lasts after charging.
Well, screw me running....
