5164R definitely thicker than the daytona, heavier case (gold). Also the rubber strap makes it very comfortable to wear, specially in the summer.
The Daytona advantage is that is more robust, which makes the watch more suitable to wear on rougher occasions
I love both of them, they complement each other I would say
