The 16710 began to appear about 1989. I'm always a bit leary to describe a definite timeline because with Rolex nothing is set in stone.

The 16760 is an often overlooked reference. Made concurrently with the MASTER series 16750 it was never a big seller due, some feel, to the increased price vs. it's MASTER cousin.

Some feel the 3085 movement was a bear to work on (not being a watchmaker I can't say), and was quickly (in Rolex terms) replaced by the 3185 series.
