I finally pulled the trigger on my first Rolex today. It was a fun, EXCITING and memorable experience at the AD.
Of course in the beginning I wanted the BLNR or dare I say even CHNR or BLRO?
But I quickly woke up to reality in the world of Rolex.
Then the 116713LN (SS YG 2 tone) caught my eye. I have to admit, in photos it didn’t really appeal to me. But IRL, it’s something different. And it’s undeniably Rolex. I actually wonder why this model isn’t more loved nor sought after, is it just me who appreciates the nostalgia of this iconic 80’s look? I don’t know. But when I showed my friends, they unanimously said the two tone wasn’t their cup of tea.

So, am I in the minority here in loving this model? Or is it just my friends (who are also Rolex fans) that have no love for the SSYG GMT?

And, multiple AD’s are claiming that since all the SS Pro watches are gone, clients are now starting to snatch up the two tones. What is everyone else’s experience? Will the 116713LN hold its value?
