On the other end of the spectrum is a crazy idea of getting a 3d scan of the bezel, and have someone custom fit a bezel protector/actual bezel replacement made of ceramic or other scratch-proof material (this is going franken level, i know).

You might try reaching out to a car paint protection detailer, I know the guys at Topaz Detailing in London have used the process to protect their own watches - they were testing it when I last spoke with them.
