Constructing a white wine that can last 30+ years (any wine for that matter) is not easy so I would look at the areas that have been doing this for a long time. California doesn’t really have the reputation of producing a lot of white wine from the 80’s that is reliably good today for what you will likely pay. You are probably better off looking at France because you will spend a lot of money for something like this and so you would obviously like it to be good. Would be a better bet to go for port, dessert wines or reds.
