Both buyers & sellers (ADs) benefited from Rolex prices in 2012. Buyers who spent their money back then & held onto their watches saw an increase in value over time. ADs received their payments, got rid of old stock & likely reinvested the proceeds back into their businesses. Time value of money therefore applies in both instances.
