I'm a new Rolex owner (1975 DJ 1603), but have had the opportunity to speak with Rik 2 times in the last few weeks. He has 35+ years experience, is licensed and certified to repair all of the high end luxury watches and to me is easy to talk with. I am fortunate he works close to where I reside and does the service/repairs for my jeweler. He has told me about the situation with Rolex and the independent watchmakers, but he has plenty of parts on hand. I will definitely use him when my watch needs service. Besides being local is a benefit and I don't have to worry about the RSC and the lengthy process one has to go through using them.

Bottom line IMO is he's definitely the one to go to for any kind of work needed.
