Is there a David SW equivalent in the pen world that anyone knows of?
Dealing with downsizing my partners fathers pen collection and really struggling to take care of it all. Has anyone dealt with any good pen dealers? Know any good forums? I looked at the classifieds here but doesn't seem to be much traffic.

You should ask to have your post moved to the TRF Pen sub-forum.

Tricky as it is a smaller, more niche market that watches so market bid-ask spreads are even wider than in the watch world.
My recommendations are all UK based so not useful if you are in the USA. (Dylan Stephens, "Vintage and Modern Pens", St John's Pens and Izods.) If you want best prices research attendees at US pens shows and look for used pen dealers. DC pen show and Pacific Northwest Pen Shows are big ones as far as I know. The dealers will rince you but will save you a boatload of time. An alternative that would yield you higher prices would be to spend time on pen forums and pen meets and meet some potential buyers. But that takes time doing something you might not be interested in. |

Perhaps try Greg at antiquedigger.com. I have dealt with him in the past and seems like a good contact.

Chatterley luxuries does consignments. Pentime.com Bryant is as stand up as it gets.

It has always been light in traffic, but not in importance.
